It's no secret that I love Dracofiend and her writing, but this fic has made me fall in love all over again - and I'm pretty sure there was no dark magic involved. :D
We're taken for a lovely walk on a high wire that's been suspended over the pools of Love and Disaster. Did I mention there's a wind?
Amazing storytelling, refreshing and engaging plot and masterful emotional manipulation - in the best way possible.

It was really exciting to have the hints unfold, but at the same time poor Harry has to though a lot before he gets any peace (or his hearts desire). The 'someone living in someone else's mind' idea could go so many ways of cracky, but this was more a thriller at heart, and I really enjoyed the journey.

H. Watson MD; not intended for publication. Being an account of the strange case of the Fourth Deathly Hallow; in which Dr John H. Watson and Mr Sherlock Holmes save a life, discover the true secret of Professor Moriarty, unravel a time loop or two, encounter a femme fatale, imbibe potions, break into and out of a wizarding mansion, hide in a male brothel, go shopping, track down a magical artefact, almost attend a ritual sacrifice, fail to be Obliviated and totally ignore the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692, all in the company of a lank-haired, irascible but secretly besotted schoolmaster, a bemused aristocrat and an increasingly perceptive and enamoured young hero.

I was won over by the summary alone and the promise of a Sherlock Holmes/HP crossover! The POV, the language and the tone were superb! You know how I'm a sucker for historical fiction, so this was right up my alley, but I have no doubt everyone will fall in love with this fic. I'm a little behind with this rec, so if you have time, please read, vote and comment! It's longish, but sooooo worth the read!

Would you give up your identity to be with the person you love? Would you give yourself to them, knowing that you’re wholly dependent on them? That’s what this picture story is about. Lord Snape is urged by his friend, Lord Malfoy, to find a woman to marry. By chance, he instead meets Harry, a bookshop owner, and there is an instantaneous and amorous attraction. But this is nineteenth century England, where homosexuality is forbidden and women have no rights. Conflicted, Snape returns to London, but Harry's friend, Hermione, finds him there and convinces him of a bold plan where Harry would disappear and give up his whole life so the two of them could be together. In the end, Harry gives up his rights as a man, his identity, and masquerades as a woman. After their wedding, they retreat to a country estate to live in peace.

She hits the prompts and genres bang-on, in my opinion, anyway. heh. I really like the sepia-ish warm colours and all the emotion that comes through.

For six years, Severus has refused to have anything to do with Harry, wishing that he’d never given Harry his memories in the Shrieking Shack. Now that Harry is missing, he is having second thoughts about rejecting Harry’s offers of friendship. After searching for six months, Draco and Severus are beginning to think they won’t find Harry alive. Harry, meanwhile, is barely surviving, and thinks that the person responsible for his imprisonment and torture – is Severus Snape.

Yes, the warnings are intimidating and might squick some of you, but if you like a good mystery interwoven with longing and suspense - or love you a rentboy fic, this story is for you. Harry (and quite a few other characters) are truly tested to their limits, but (and I think a spoiler might be handy here) the ending is worth the nail-biting journey.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who read, voted and commented on my fic for the snarry_games. *loves*

I'm glad I didn't know at the beginning how many of you are librarians/archaeologists/historians and/or are in love with Egyptology, or I never would have plucked up the courage to tackle this chunk of history. :)

Thanks to my Snitchy team mates, my indestructible beta army, the members of Team Cauldron who have made me cry (in the good way) with their touching comments and to all the readers who took a chance on a PG-13 AR set back 2000 years before they were born! *so much love*

You still have lots of time to read and vote if you haven't had a chance yet. No pressure, though. I know this is a busy time. :) *hugs* Oh, and if you're not really a Snarry shipper, don't let that scare you. PG, remember? heh.
